We have noticed a large number of our clients needing to have their jewelry appraisals updated. An up to date appraisal assures that your valuable jewelry, gemstones, and timepieces are properly valued.

Many times our client’s will have their items appraised and then forget to update them over the years.   Jewelry appraisals that are older than three years should be updated. If an unfortunate loss or theft occurs your out of pocket expenses could be detrimental because of price flucuations with precious metals, diamonds, and gemstones. Jewelry, gemstones, diamonds, and timepieces all flucuate in price over time and the documentation for such items should be updated regularly.

Having an updated appraisal will will ensure your items are properly valued. When an update is done your jewelry is  inspected and compared to the previous appraisal to make certain that your item is still the same as when it was previously appraised.

It would be a good idea to check with your insurance provider to see when an updated jewelry appraisal will be needed to keep your coverage. If you find that your appraisals are out of date call our office in Bellevue, Washington, and have your jewelry appraisals updated.
